Asanor is maybe the project I thought most to in my life. I had the first idea of it in 1998, when I created the main characters and the basic plot. Then I drew 2 versions which I pulled down after 50 pages.
In January 2002, blessed that moment, I started a third version - which is currently running out 900 pages. It's still in a almost-rough version - I draw it directly with pen, because I want to finish it at last. Maybe one day I'll draw it finely and you'll be able to read it properly.

plot summary
Asanor, a 15-years-old boy grown up in a reformatory, is taken from the reformatory by a wizard called Kjerim Knox. Kjerim tells Asanor he is the subject of an ancient prophecy. The prophecy is now lost: there is still just one phrase left: "The one who wins better, is the one who loses the victory".
Kjerim and Asanor go to the city of Sevon. Kjerim leaves Asanor in the house of Zervigh, where he meets his sons, Brenon and Jibras, and his daughter, Miriel. Jibras suggests Asanor to go to the island of Roke, where he will know more about the prophecy. But Asanor escapes from the house of Zervigh and goes to the city of Loramin, where he works as a reward-hunter. Asanor forms an entire company of reward-hunters.
But Asanor's best friend, the Elf Dwenn, leaves him. Mad with anger, Asanor goes back to Sevon and he takes Miriel with him. Jibras finds them together and tells Asanor he can marry Miriel only if he goes to Roke with him. So Asanor finally goes to Roke.
In Roke he begin to work for Lord Oksak, the praetor of the School of Magic. Lord Oksak wants to conquer all the feuds of Roke. After a quarrel with Dayven Ross, the former general, Asanor becomes the general of Oksak's Army. He marries Miriel. In a few months, Asanor conquers all Roke and he is treated as the Lord of Roke. The real lord is instead lord Oksak, but the people of Roke don't know this.
Asanor goes to the island of Flastad, which is a place devoted to commerce and making money. He wants to stipulate economic pacts with Flastad, but the Council of Flastad tells him he'll have his pacts only if he wins the long-period war Flastad is fighting against the island of Noto. Asanor goes to the war, but he fails and turns back to Roke.
In Roke he finds his beloved Miriel pregnant, but the country is hostile towards him. Lord Oksak is plotting something...
